Car with two children hit by another vehicle in Lexington

The Lexington Police Department in Kentucky reported that a child sustained critical injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Versailles Road in Lexington, ABC 36 reported on April 21.

The accident occurred at around 6:00 p.m. when a car carrying two children was rear-ended near New Circle Road by another vehicle, according to preliminary police investigations.

One of the children inside the hit vehicle, who was believed to be in a child safety seat, sustained major injuries. The driver and the other child were unharmed in the incident.

Police investigators said no one in the other vehicle was wounded.
