Two-vehicle accident on K-90 kills six

Local news channel and NBC-affiliated station WLEX reported that a two-vehicle accident in Wayne County resulted in the deaths of six individuals on May 1.

The fatal highway accident occurred at around 6 p.m. along Kentucky Route 90, which is about 3.5 miles west of Monticello.

According to the Kentucky State Police, at least two individuals were able to get out of the vehicular accident alive, one of whom was brought to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset and the other to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

Police investigators further noted that the victims were identified as three adults and three children and that the accident involved a pickup truck and a car. The roadway was closed while reconstruction teams worked at the scene to determine the details surrounding the crash.
