Woman gets hit by car in Lexington

A woman was transported to a local hospital after she was struck down by a car last month at the intersection of New Circle Road and North Broadway in Lexington, Kentucky.

According to preliminary investigations made by the Lexington Police Department, the woman, who was yet to be identified publicly by police authorities pending notifying her family members, was traversing North Broadway when she was hit by a passing vehicle.

The victim was brought to the hospital to receive treatment for her life-threatening injuries.

Lexington Police Sergeant Joe Anderson said the woman had been crossing the street from the Shell station back to the Hardeeā€™s side of Broadway when a car, which was traveling outbound towards Broadway, hit her.
